COLOSAL
Photographic series in which a graphical re-interpretation of spatial conflict in big cities is made, geographical background of human growth system. Unthinkable complexity. The fascination and at the same time repulsion for massive architectural elements. Living surrounded by concrete, lines and geometric shapes. Labyrinths of industrialization that aim to heaven. Lines of concrete wandering in space of nothingness, clusters and constellations of metal and paste.
The law of impenetrability of matter corrodes, it collapses. All elements can occupy the same place in space like the sky lights disappearing. The metaphor of over-development is based on a knowledge and a further interpretation of reality. In this theatrical game the city's identity is fragmented, ranging from anonymity and the construction upon itself. The identity ceased to be a hallucination of modernity and instead is now undergoing the thrill of a transgenic parallelism, tearing its spatial limits.
An architectural exploration of lines and its fascinating urban connections. Small tumors growing in the horizon and fed by the need of social collectiveness. Unthinkable complexity. I use multiple exposures that fold into themselves, transcend reality and find the beauty within the complexity.
